Gate 6 Near Raffles Place – Ticket & Bag Check

Last Saturday was my first time at the Singapore Grand Prix even though I’ve lived here for 4 years, so it was probably about time that I experienced the world’s only F1 night race! I’m not a huge fan of Formula 1, although I do enjoy watching it on TV from time to time, but Maroon 5 yes! Ever since I heard “Moves Like Jagger” on repeat whilst waiting to take off on an Air Asia flight to Bangkok years ago and finding it to be excruciatingly annoying, it somehow grew on me and I’ve been a fan of Maroon 5 ever since. God help me if I ever listen to One Direction on repeat! 😯

My friend and I got there just before 9pm to walk around and watch the qualifying. It was fairly crowded but luckily we managed to find a good spot to stand and catch some of the action. The F1 cars were surprisingly not as noisy as I expected but they do sell earplugs for those that wish to wear them.

Singapore F1 Village And Maroon 5 Concert

F1 Village & Maroon 5 Playing At The Padang Stage

The qualifying finished at 10pm and we headed to the F1 village to pick up some food and drinks and then straight to the Padang Stage so that we could find a good place to stand and wait for the concert to start. There were already a lot of people near the stage when we got there but we managed to find an area near the side of the stage which wasn’t too crowded and had a clear view of the stage and screens.

The Maroon 5 concert was a great experience, it lasted just over an hour with songs from their latest album V as well as old favourites including “Moves Like Jagger”! Lol 😀 Adam Levine’s voice was just as amazing live and he was great at keeping the crowd entertained. All-in-all a fabulous night! 🙂
