Osteria Art is a classy Italian restaurant and bar in the heart of the CBD close to Raffles Place MRT. They serve classic and modern Italian cuisine using quality fresh ingredients and offer a great value weekday set lunch menu ($38++) as well as a daily 4-course dinner menu ($88++). Alternatively you can always opt to order a-la-carte.
I was there recently on a weekday to have lunch with a friend and although the power lunch set menu was very tempting I decided to go a-la-carte as I really wanted to try their Tagliatelle with Wild Mushrooms and Truffle pasta ($38). My friend chose the power lunch in which she got the Sunchoke Soup with Garlic Chips appetiser, Spaghetti with Sea Urchin for the main (additional $12), Osteria Art Tiramisu for dessert and a pot of chamomile tea.
My Tagliatelle with Wild Mushrooms and Truffle pasta was absolutely delicious, the handmade tagliatelle was delicate and perfectly al dente, the wild mushroom sauce was very tasty and there was a generous amount of shaved black truffle.
We were given warm crusty bread to enjoy with our meal and olive oil to dip it into.
For dessert, I ordered the Caramel Apple Crumble Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream ($12). The tart crust was crunchy and thin and was filled with juicy sweet apple pieces and a buttery crumble on top. It came with a thick, not too sweet caramel sauce, chocolate soil and a creamy vanilla ice cream.
My friend also thoroughly enjoyed her set lunch.

To finish we were given crunchy sugar coated almonds to nibble on which was the perfect end to a perfect lunch.
The restaurant itself is a nice setting for a romantic dinner or long business lunch although tables are quite close to each other which you wouldn’t really expect in a fine dining establishment. Service is impeccable, extremely attentive and very helpful. I will definitely be back here to try some of their other pasta dishes and on Fridays they have a ladies night offer where if you order their set dinner, you can get free-flow prosecco and martinis for only $30++ which I most certainly will be back for!
