Redmart Online Supermarket Singapore Review

Redmart Online Supermarket Singapore

Redmart is an online supermarket in Singapore that I’ve been using for a few years now since it first started around the end of 2011. I’ve found it to be a bit of a lifesaver in terms of not having to lug back heavy bottles or bulky toilet roll packs.

Over the past four years that they’ve been operating, the number of products that they offer has greatly increased and this year they started selling fresh and frozen products too. I always order my tubs of Ben and Jerry’s and Haagen Dazs from them as they are kept perfectly frozen right up to my doorstep. They also have quite a big range of organic products as well as specialty items from Singapore’s best niche grocers, restaurants and shops.

Prices on Redmart are competitive, maybe not as cheap as you would find in Giant or FairPrice (two of Singapore’s cheapest supermarkets) for fresh produce but when you weigh up the time you’ll save by ordering online it’s well worth it. A lot of the everyday products are around the same price or cheaper though; for example a 300g bottle of Heinz tomato ketchup is $1.25 in Redmart and FairPrice and $1.40 in Giant and a pack of 20 rolls of Kleenex Ultrasoft Toilet Rolls is currently cheapest in Redmart at $13.85. Delivery is also free if your order is at least $49 compared to Giant where delivery costs $7 or $12 for orders above and below $60 respectively and FairPrice is $10.70 or $7.49 depending on the order value. Redmart have weekly offers and ongoing sales as well as releasing discount codes regularly so your total basket value could actually amount to much less than you would find elsewhere. For the lastest Redmart discount codes, check out this post which I will be updating regularly with Redmart’s special offers that I find.

The Redmart website is simple and intuitive to use and after filling your online basket you can select a 2 hour delivery time slot starting as early as 7am up until 11pm daily. You can get a $1 discount if you choose certain delivery time slots as well as have a further saving of $1 if you’re willing to accept delivery up to 2 hours earlier than your chosen time slot. The Redmart delivery drivers are efficient and every order that I’ve ever placed on Redmart has been delivered within my chosen time frame apart from once or twice years ago when they were slightly early.

Their service has improved over the years as they had a few teething problems at the start where the delivery drivers used to call every time before they delivered to see if they could make the delivery earlier which used to be quite bothersome and they also had some technical problems with their website when they revamped it in 2013, however all the problems seem to have been ironed out as everything has been running smoothly for the past couple of years and it looks like they actually took into account the feedback that I gave them! 🙂 Also I have to mention that the Redmart customer support team are top-notch and are always polite, quick to respond to my messages and deal with each query effectively.

Hope you’ve found my review of Redmart useful, you can visit their website here and if you have any questions or feedback you want to leave please feel free to comment below.
