The Starbucks in The Fullerton Waterboat House near Raffles Place is one that I go to if I want a nice quiet place to work in or just to chill out with friends over coffee. It’s not as busy as most of the other Starbucks in Singapore as it’s a bit far from Raffles Place MRT and although it’s near the Merlion, most people go to the Starbucks at One Fullerton which is closer.
This Starbucks is actually the 100th Starbucks that opened in Singapore. It opened around the beginning of 2014 and it’s the first one to hire people with special needs. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. The coffee is the usual Starbucks coffee but the place itself is not like your usual Starbucks. It’s very spacious with lots of seating and plenty of comfy sofa seats and it has a beautiful view of Marina Bay which you can see through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Most of the customers here during the day are either working or studying and the complimentary WiFi is fast even when there are a lot of people using it. The atmosphere in this Starbucks is very laid back and it’s a great place to escape from the busyness of the city 🙂
