Patisserie G is a Japanese-French cafe in the Millenia Walk shopping centre near Promenade MRT. I like the Millenia Walk shopping centre as it’s generally not very busy so it’s a good place to find a quiet cafe to work in or catch up with friends.
They have a beautiful selection of cakes and pastries as well as macarons and they also serve some savory items including several egg dishes and sandwiches. I went there for tea with a friend last Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy but they have tables both inside as well as outside in the shopping centre so it was easy to find a place to sit. I had their Bombe Cerise cake ($9.50) and a Latte ($5.50).
The Bombe Cerise consists of dark chocolate sponge, dark chocolate mousse and cherries soaked in Kirsch liqueur. It has a red glaze on top so it looks a bit like a cherry and is surrounded by a piece of white chocolate. The classic combination of cherries and dark chocolate complimented each other well and it wasn’t too sweet – all in all a good dessert.
The latte was a perfect one in my book, not too bitter or milky and it had a cute latte art heart too 🙂
I will definitely be back there again to try some of the other cakes, they all look very tempting, beautifully formed with different textures and some unusual flavour combinations.
