Last Wednesday I paid a visit to WOOBAR in the W Hotel on Sentosa. It was a bit of a trek getting there as it’s located on the far end of Sentosa but it was well worth the trip as their ladies night deal “Heel Before Me” every Wednesday of free flow Veuve Clicquot champagne for only $36++ for one and a half hours is too good to miss.
We arrived a bit early and we were seated at a quiet table reserved for us near the back of the bar. The interior of the bar is modernly furnished with white decor, there were some interesting looking pod seats and mellow blue lighting to give a relaxed feel.
We ordered some Truffled Chunky Cut Chips and a Caesar Salad to nibble on and got the free flow Veuve Clicquot Brut. There’s also an option to get free flow Veuve Clicquot Rosé for $46. Free flow starts promptly at 7.30pm and the final pour is at 9pm. The staff were very attentive and constantly refilled our glasses so that they were never left empty.
The Truffled Chunky Cut Chips were hot and tasty with a strong truffle aroma and flavour and the aioli that accompanied it went well with it. We were also given some complimentary raspberry tarts.
The Caesar Salad was small with a couple of strips of bacon and toasted pieces of French loaf, perhaps not worth what we paid for it but tasty nonetheless.
There was also a chocolate fountain with strawberries, marshmallows and brownies to dip into it that we could help ourselves to.
Towards the end of our ladies night, the staff kindly gave us each a lolly. So sweet of them! 🙂
Ladies night at WOOBAR was definitely very enjoyable, the staff were very friendly and efficient and really attended to our every need. The bar had a really good chilled-out atmosphere and wasn’t too busy and there was even a live DJ. Because of the service, ambience and good value I’ll definitely go back for ladies night there again even though it is a taxi ride away.
