MixCart is a two dollar store in the Geylang area of Singapore near Aljunied MRT. Although small you can find a variety of household items, toys, stationary, jewellery and other knick-knacks all of which are $2 with some items that are 2 for $2 and some jewellery and soft drinks for only $1.
The shop is packed full of items and the layout of the shop is quite cluttered but if you rummage through the items you can actually find some decent stuff of fairly good quality including Tiger Balm for only $2 which would make a great souvenir for someone if you’re going back home.
They have some Japanese items too including socks that you can see are usually priced at ¥780 (around $10) in Japan so $2 is a pretty good deal.
There’s a good selection of stationary and toys for the kids and they have some really cute character-themed merchandise or “character goods” as it’s called in Japan, like My Neighbour Totoro and Pokémon handheld fans, My Neighbour Totoro water bottles and Rilakkuma playing cards – not something you would find in other two dollar stores in Singapore.
It’s probably not worth making the trip to MixCart unless you’re in the area as most of what they sell you’d be able to find in other two dollar stores in Singapore that have branches everywhere such as the Daiso. MixCart do have an online store on Qoo10 though that has a small selection of some of the items that they carry in their store so you could shop from there but delivery is quite expensive at $4.50 or you could opt to pick it up from the shop.
